Mounting is via screw fixing or snap-on onto 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715, with the contactor accepting solid or stranded conductors from 0.5 to 4 mm² at the screw terminals.
The 3RT2017-1BF41 carries separate maximum switching frequencies per duty class: 1,000 cycles/h for AC-1 (resistive loads), 750 cycles/h for AC-3 (squirrel-cage motors, starting and disconnecting running), 750 cycles/h for AC-3e (enhanced AC-3), and 250 cycles/h for AC-4 (plugging, inching, reversing). AC-3 is the common motor-switching rating; if your application involves frequent reversing or inching, the AC-4 limit governs — plan for 250 cycles/h max. The auxiliary contact ratings drop with voltage: 10 A at 24 V, 2 A at 48/60 V, 1 A at 110 V, 0.9 A at 125 V, 0.3 A at 220 V, and 3 A at 400 V. Use the 110 V row for this coil voltage; the contact can switch 1 A at that level.
Panel integration and environmental limits
The screw-type terminals accept 2 x (0.5 to 1.5 mm²), 2 x (0.75 to 2.5 mm²), or 2 x 4 mm² solid or stranded. DC switching times are 7 to 13 ms.
