The Siemens 3RT2017-1LB41 is a SIRIUS power contactor rated for AC-3e/AC-3 duty at 12 A, switching 5.5 kW at 400 V — that is the motor-switching rating, the one that governs real inductive loads like pumps, fans, and compressors on a 3-phase line. The 24 V DC coil includes an integrated varistor for surge suppression, so you do not need to add an external RC snubber across the coil terminals. Frame size S00 keeps the footprint compact for DIN-rail mounting in a control panel. The screw terminals accept standard power and control wiring without special tooling.

The S00 frame measures 82 x 50 x 63 mm — fits a standard 35 mm DIN rail. The 24 V DC coil draws at 0.7–1.25 times the rated control voltage; the integrated varistor clamps the turn-off spike, so no additional coil suppression is needed. One normally-open auxiliary contact is built in; additional aux blocks can be snapped on the front.
