SIRIUS Size S00 power contactor with spring terminals
The Siemens SIRIUS 3RT2017-2AP02-1AA0 is a Size S00 power contactor with spring-type terminals on the magnet coil, designed for screw and snap-on mounting onto 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715. Standing mount on a horizontal surface is the specified position. The contactor carries an auxiliary switch and is rated for main contacts in the 20 to 12 A range. Panel integration and wiring
Snaps onto standard 35 mm DIN rail — no tools needed for the rail mount, but the screw clamp is there if you prefer bolting. The spring terminals accept solid or stranded wire from 0.5 to 4 mm², or 2x (0.5 to 4 mm²) for daisy-chaining. Clearance: 10 mm upwards, 10 mm forwards, 10 mm downwards, 6 mm at the side. Dimensions are 73 mm deep, 45 mm wide, 70 mm high — fits a standard S00 slot in a panel layout.
Switching frequency and contact ratings
Maximum switching frequency depends on the duty class: 1,000 operations per hour at AC-1, 750/h at AC-2 and AC-3, 250/h at AC-4, and 750/h at AC-3e. Arcing time is 10 to 15 ms at AC. The auxiliary contact ratings are defined per voltage: 10 A at 24 V, 2 A at 48 V and 60 V, 1 A at 110 V, 0.9 A at 125 V, 0.3 A at 220 V, 3 A at 400 V, and 0.2 A at 440 V. Mechanical life is typical 30 million operations. Operating temperature range is -25 to +60 °C; storage range is -55 to +80 °C.
