SIRIUS S00 power contactor, 24 VDC coil, spring terminals
The Siemens SIRIUS 3RT2017-2BM42-ZX95 is a size S00 power contactor with a 24 VDC magnet coil terminated via spring-type terminals. It mounts by screw or snap-on onto 35 mm standard mounting rail per DIN EN 60715, and can be rotated ±180° on a vertical surface or tilted ±22.5° forward/backward — useful when fitting into tight panel envelopes. Rated for AC-3 switching at up to 750 cycles per hour, and AC-4 at 250 cycles per hour. The spring terminals accept 0.5–4 mm² solid or stranded wire (2x per clamp).
Switching rates and thermal limits
Maximum mechanical switching rate: 1 000 cycles/h under AC-1 resistive load, 750 cycles/h under AC-2 or AC-3 motor duty, and 250 cycles/h under AC-4 (plugging/inching). The arcing time is 10–15 ms; DC switching (resistive) adds 7–13 ms. Operating ambient temperature range –25 to +60 °C; storage range –55 to +80 °C. The contactor is rated for a mechanical life of 30 million operations typical.
