48 VDC coil, Size S00 — the critical spare for legacy DC control
The 3RT2017-2BW41: This is the contactor you reach for when the control voltage is 48 VDC — a common legacy rail in older industrial panels and battery-backed systems — and the panel space is tight at 45 mm wide. That tolerance covers a sagging battery string or a long DC run without dropping out.
DC switching capacity — what it handles at different voltages
At 24 VDC the main contacts are rated 10 A; at 48 VDC that drops to 2 A, and at 125 VDC it's 0.9 A. For a 230 V motor load, the contactor is rated 2 hp.
Panel fit and mounting — clearance and conductor sizing
The spring cage holds the conductor without retightening — no thermal cycling loosening over the 30-million-cycle mechanical life. The auxiliary switch is included, so you don't need a separate add-on for status feedback.
