Panel fit and terminal handling
The 3RT2017-2FW42 is a Siemens SIRIUS size S00 power contactor with a 48 VDC coil, built for screw and snap-on mounting onto 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715. The spring-type terminals accept solid or stranded wire from 0.5 to 4 mm², and the mounting position allows ±180° rotation on a vertical surface plus ±22.5° tilt forward/backward — useful when you're squeezing it into a crowded panel.
Auxiliary contact ratings and switching performance
The auxiliary switch is rated for 10 A at 24 V, 2 A at 48 V and 60 V, 1 A at 110 V, 0.9 A at 125 V, 0.3 A at 220 V, and 3 A at 400 V — so it covers both control-circuit and light power loads across a wide voltage range. Arcing time sits between 10 and 15 ms, and the contactor can handle up to 1000 operations per hour at AC-1, 750 at AC-2 and AC-3, and 250 at AC-4. That's a fast mover for general motor switching and resistive loads.
Environmental and mechanical limits
Operating temperature range is -25 to +60 °C; storage range is -55 to +80 °C. The 73 mm depth, 45 mm width, and 70 mm height keep the footprint compact for a size S00 contactor. Clearances: 10 mm upwards, 10 mm forwards, 10 mm downwards, and 6 mm to the side — plan your enclosure layout accordingly.
