SIRIUS S00 coupling contactor — 24 VDC coil, spring terminals
The Siemens 3RT2017-2HB41 is a SIRIUS S00 coupling contactor, designed to switch DC loads in control circuits where a galvanically isolated auxiliary contact block is not required — the product design carries no auxiliary switch. The 24 VDC coil is rated for 10 A at 24 V, with a pick-up dropout characteristic of 0.7 initial value and an arcing time of 10 to 15 ms. The spring-type terminals accept solid or stranded conductors from 0.5 to 4 mm², including dual conductors up to 2x 4 mm².
Panel integration and mounting
Mounts via screw or snap-on onto 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715. The S00 frame measures 45 mm wide × 70 mm high × 73 mm deep, leaving clearance requirements of 10 mm upward and forward, 10 mm downward, and 6 mm at the sides. Mounting position allows ±180° rotation on a vertical surface and ±22.5° tilt forward/backward.
Operating conditions and endurance
Rated for an ambient operating range of -25 to +60 °C; storage range is -55 to +80 °C. Mechanical life is rated at 30,000,000 typical cycles. Maximum switching frequency varies by duty: 1,000 cycles/h at AC-1, 750 cycles/h at AC-2/AC-3/AC-3e, and 250 cycles/h at AC-4.
