The Siemens SIRIUS 3RT2017-2JB41 is a size S00 coupling contactor with a 24 VDC coil rated at 10 A. It uses spring-type terminals accepting 0.5 to 4 mm² solid or stranded wire, and mounts via screw or snap-on onto 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715. The 45 mm width and 70 mm height with 73 mm depth fit standard panel layouts.
Duty ratings and switching frequency
Main contact rated current spans 20 A down to 12 A depending on duty. Maximum switching frequency varies by load: 1,000 operations per hour at AC-1 (resistive), 750/h at AC-2 and AC-3 (motor starting/running), and 250/h at AC-4 (plugging/inching). The AC-3e rating also allows 750/h. For a 24 VDC coil, pick-up and drop-out times run 38 to 65 ms, with arcing time of 10 to 15 ms.
Mounting and environmental limits
Mounting position allows ±180° rotation on a vertical surface and ±22.5° tilt forward/backward. Clearance requirements: 10 mm upward, 10 mm forward, 10 mm downward, 6 mm at the sides. Operating temperature range is -25 to +60 °C; storage range -55 to +80 °C. The size S00 frame keeps the contactor compact for dense panel layouts.
