SIRIUS S00 coupling contactor — 110 V coil, spring terminals
The Siemens 3RT2017-2LF42 is a SIRIUS S00 coupling contactor with a 110 V rated coil and spring-type terminals. It occupies 45 mm width on a 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715, with a depth of 73 mm and height of 70 mm. The coil holds at 110 V nominal; the contactor is rated for 10 A at 24 V DC, 2 A at 48 V and 60 V, 1 A at 110 V, 0.9 A at 125 V, 0.3 A at 220 V, and 3 A at 400 V. For motor loads, it carries 2 hp at 230 V.
Duty-cycle and switching frequency
Maximum switching frequency depends on the duty category: 1 000 operations per hour at AC-1 (resistive), 750 per hour at AC-2 and AC-3 (motor starting/running), and 250 per hour at AC-4 (plugging/inching). AC-3e maximum is also 750 operations per hour. Mechanical life is typically 30 000 000 operations. Arcing time runs 10 to 15 ms; DC switching time is 7 to 20 ms.
Mounting and wiring
Mounts via screw or snap-on onto 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715. The mounting position allows ±180° rotation on a vertical surface and ±22.5° forward/backward tilt. Spring-type terminals accept solid or stranded wire from 0.5 to 4 mm² (single or 2x 0.5 to 4 mm²). Clearance distances: 10 mm upward, 10 mm forward, 10 mm downward, 6 mm at the side.
