The 3RT2018-1AN62: Rated for AC-3 motor duty at 750 cycles per hour max, and AC-1 resistive loads at 1 000 cycles per hour. That's the real switching cadence; don't plan it into a process that cycles faster, or you'll wear the contacts early.
What the ratings mean for fit
Ambient operating range is -25 to +60 °C — enough for a warm panel next to a dryer section, but if you're mounting it near a recovery boiler roof, you might want to add forced ventilation. Storage goes down to -55 °C, so winter shipping is fine. Mounting is screw and snap-on onto 35 mm DIN rail per EN 60715. The unit can be rotated ±180° on a vertical surface, plus tilted ±22.5° forward/backward — useful when you're shoehorning it into a tight corner of a motor control centre. Wire termination is screw-type terminals accepting 0.5 to 4 mm² solid or stranded, up to 2x 4 mm². No special ferrules needed; field wire it with standard screwdriver.
