Part identity and mounting
The Siemens SIRIUS 3RT2018-1AP01-ZX95 is a Size S00 power contactor with screw-type terminals for the magnet coil and main contacts. It includes an integrated auxiliary switch, so you don't need a separate add-on block for basic signaling or interlock. Mounts via screw or snap-on onto a 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715. The 45 mm width and 73 mm depth fit standard panel layouts; clearance requirements are 10 mm upwards, 10 mm forwards, 10 mm downwards, and 6 mm at the side. Mounting position is flexible: +/-180° rotation on a vertical surface and +/-22.5° tilt forward/backward, which helps when routing wires in a crowded enclosure.
Ratings and what they mean for your circuit
The auxiliary contact is rated 10 A at 24 V, 2 A at 48 V and 60 V, 1 A at 110 V, 0.9 A at 125 V, 0.3 A at 220 V, and 3 A at 400 V. These are the make/break capacities for control circuits — at 24 V it handles a typical PLC output or relay coil without extra buffering. Switching frequency varies by duty: up to 1 000 operations per hour in AC-1 (resistive loads), 750/h in AC-2 and AC-3 (motor starting/running), and 250/h in AC-4 (plugging/inching). For a conveyor motor running AC-3, that 750/h ceiling is well above typical cycle rates. Arcing time is 10 to 15 ms at AC, and the contactor is rated for 30 000 000 typical mechanical operations — so it's built for high-cycle applications like packaging machines or material handling. Wire range accepts solid or stranded 0.5 to 4 mm² (single wire) and 2x 0.5 to 1.5 mm², 2x 0.75 to 2.5 mm², or 2x 4 mm² for paralleled conductors. That covers most control-circuit wiring gauges without needing adapters.
Environmental and lifecycle
Operates from -25 °C to +60 °C and stores from -55 °C to +80 °C. The wide storage range means it can sit in a spare-parts bin in an unconditioned warehouse without issue.
