SIRIUS Size S00 power contactor — what fits and what doesn't
The 3RT2018-1AP61-0UA0: Mounting accepts both screw fixing and snap-on onto 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715. The magnet coil uses screw-type terminals, and the auxiliary switch is integrated. Operating temperature range is -25 to +60 °C; storage from -55 to +80 °C.
Panel integration — clearances and wiring
Clearance requirements for this Size S00 contactor: 10 mm upwards, 10 mm forwards, 10 mm downwards, and 6 mm at the side. These numbers govern the minimum spacing to enclosure walls, busbars, or other devices for airflow and arc containment. Mounting position allows ±180° rotation on a vertical surface and ±22.5° forward/backward tilt. Terminal capacity on the main contacts: solid or stranded 0.5 to 4 mm², with double-wire capability at 2×(0.5 to 1.5 mm²), 2×(0.75 to 2.5 mm²), or 2×4 mm². This covers most control-circuit wiring up to 12 AWG.
Switching ratings and duty cycles
Mechanical life is typical 30 million operations. Maximum switching frequency varies by duty: AC-1 at 1 000 cycles/h, AC-2 and AC-3 at 750 cycles/h, AC-3e also at 750 cycles/h, AC-4 at 250 cycles/h. The arcing time is 10 to 15 ms; closing time is 4 to 15 ms at AC.
