Panel fit and wiring — Size S00 contactor
The 3RT2018-1AR61: Width is 45 mm, depth 73 mm, height 58 mm — it occupies one standard 45 mm DIN-rail slot, leaving room alongside overload relays and busbars. Clearance distances: 10 mm forward, upward, and downward; 6 mm at the sides. These are the minimum air gaps to adjacent metalwork or other devices — factor them into the enclosure layout.
Terminal capacity and wiring rules
Main and auxiliary terminals accept solid wire 0.5–4 mm² and stranded wire 0.5–4 mm². The magnet coil uses screw-type terminals — no push-in or spring-cage here. Torque the screw connections to the value printed on the contactor side; the terminal box is sized for standard screwdrivers. Use these numbers for the control-circuit load, not the main power path.
Duty cycles and switching rates
Switching rates per duty class: AC-1 (resistive) maximum 1,000 operations per hour; AC-4 (plugging/inching) maximum 250/h. The AC-3e rate matches AC-3 at 750/h. Power dissipation is 0.24 W at 50 Hz coil supply, 0.25 W at 60 Hz — negligible for panel thermal calculations but confirms the coil draws minimal holding power.
