The Siemens 3RT2018-2AF01 is a SIRIUS power contactor in the S00 frame, equipped with spring-type terminals on the magnet coil and main contacts. Wire range accepts solid and stranded conductors from 0.5 to 4 mm², and double-wire capability up to 2x (0.5…4 mm²) per terminal. Rated switching frequency for AC-3 motor duty is 750 operations per hour; AC-4 plugging/inching duty is limited to 250 operations per hour. The contactor includes an auxiliary switch as standard.
Mounting and wiring
Fastens via screw or snap-on onto 35 mm DIN rail per EN 60715. Overall dimensions: width 45 mm, height 70 mm, depth 73 mm. Required clearances: 10 mm upwards, 10 mm forwards, 10 mm downwards, 6 mm to the side. Mounting position accepts ±180° rotation on a vertical surface and ±22.5° forward/backward tilt. This flexibility eases integration into crowded panel layouts where orientation is constrained.
