Switching duty and contact ratings
That AC-3 rate means it can handle frequent motor starts on a conveyor or pump without overheating the coil or contacts. For motor starting at AC-3 duty, expect electrical life to be lower, but the mechanical endurance means the actuator and spring set are built for heavy cycling.
Environmental limits and wire sizing
The 10 mm clearance upwards, forwards, and downwards, plus 6 mm at the sides, is the minimum free air spacing for heat dissipation — pack it tighter and you derate the switching capacity. Wire range: solid or stranded 0.5 to 4 mm², or two conductors of the same range per terminal. That covers most control wiring from 20 AWG to 12 AWG. The spring-clamp terminals need no tool tightening — just push the stripped wire in until it seats.
