Integrator's terse spec recap
The Siemens SIRIUS 3RT2018-2BW41 is a size S00 power contactor with a 24 VDC coil, rated 10 A at 24 V. Spring-type terminals accept 0.5 to 4 mm² solid or stranded wire, with a 2x conductor capacity per clamp. The coil holds at 48 V rated value, drops out at 0.8 of initial value. Mechanical life is typical 30 million operations.
Mounting and clearance checklist
Snap-on or screw mount onto 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715. The contactor can be rotated ±180° on a vertical surface, and tilted forward/backward ±22.5°. Clearance: 10 mm upwards, 10 mm forwards, 10 mm downwards, 6 mm at the side. Panel depth allowance: 73 mm.
Switching performance and thermal limits
Rated switching frequency: 1000 cycles/h at AC-1, 750 at AC-2/AC-3/AC-3e, 250 at AC-4. Arcing time 10 to 15 ms; DC switching time 7 to 13 ms. Operating temperature -25 to +60 °C; storage -55 to +80 °C. Auxiliary switch included.
