What this contactor is and what it does
The Siemens SIRIUS 3RT2018-2XF41-2LA2 is a size S00 contactor with a 72-125 VDC coil and spring-type terminals on the coil side. It is designed for switching motor loads and other inductive circuits in control panels, mounting on a 35 mm DIN rail per EN 50022 via screw or snap-on fastening.
Coil voltage and switching capacity
The coil is rated for DC operation across 72-125 V, with an inrush current peak of 1.1 A. The contactor's DC switching capacity is specified per voltage: at 24 V it handles 10 A, at 48 V and 60 V it handles 2 A, at 110 V it handles 1 A, at 125 V it handles 0.9 A, at 220 V it handles 0.3 A, at 400 V it handles 3 A, at 480 V it handles 14 A, at 500 V it handles 2 A, and at 600 V it handles 11 A. These values define the maximum continuous current the main contacts can interrupt at each DC voltage level — critical for sizing the contactor to the load's voltage and current draw.
Mounting and integration
The contactor occupies a 45 mm width, 70 mm height, and 73 mm depth footprint. It mounts on a 35 mm standard mounting rail per DIN EN 50022 using either screws or the snap-on mechanism. The mounting position is hanging on a horizontal surface. Clearance requirements: 10 mm upwards, 10 mm forwards, 10 mm downwards, and 6 mm at the side. The coil connection uses spring-type terminals accepting solid conductors: 2x (0.5 to 1.5 mm²), 2x (0.75 to 2.5 mm²), or 2x 4 mm². Main contact terminals accept 2x (0.5 to 4 mm²) solid or stranded.
