Panel fit — S00 frame, 45 mm wide, spring terminals
The 3RT2018-2XF42-2LA2: That 6 mm side gap is the limiting dimension for rail-to-rail packing — adjacent devices need that air gap for arc containment and heat dissipation.
DC coil — 72-125 V, 1.1 A inrush, spring terminals
The coil is DC-rated at 72-125 V with a pickup inrush peak of 1.1 A. Operating range is 0.7 to 1.25 times rated voltage — so at a nominal 110 VDC bus, the contactor pulls in reliably down to about 77 V and stays sealed up to about 156 V. The spring-type coil terminals eliminate screw-torque variability on the control wiring. Arcing time is 10-15 ms; DC operating time is 25-45 ms. For DC load switching, the arc extinction relies on the contact gap and material — the 10-15 ms arcing window is typical for DC contactors in this frame and matters for coordination with upstream fuses or breakers on DC circuits.
These are resistive-load ratings — inductive DC loads (solenoids, DC motor brakes) typically require derating by 30-50%.
Lifecycle and sourcing — current production, quoted to order
Mechanical endurance is 30,000,000 operations typical, with a maximum switching frequency of 250 operations per hour at AC-4 duty. For high-cycle applications (conveyor indexing, pick-and-place), the mechanical life is the limiting factor, not the electrical endurance.
