Switching duty and operating cycles

The 3RT2018-4AR61: Rated for 1,000 operating cycles per hour in AC-1 (resistive) duty, 750 ops/h in AC-2 and AC-3 (motor) duty, and 250 ops/h in AC-4 (plugging/inching) duty. The arcing time spans 10 to 15 ms, with a closing time of 4 to 15 ms — fast enough for most motor start sequences. The contactor includes an auxiliary switch, and the magnet coil connection uses a ring cable lug — factor this into the control wiring plan.
