Part Identification and Ratings
The Siemens SIRIUS 3RT2023-1NB30 is a power contactor in the S0 frame size, designed for switching motor loads and resistive circuits in control panels. It mounts via screw and snap-on onto 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715, with a 45 mm width that fits standard panel layouts. The coil is rated 21–28 V DC, with a typical inrush peak of 3 A and a holding power factor of 0.7 at 50 Hz. Main contact switching capacity is specified at 10 A at 24 V, 2 A at 48 V and 60 V, and 1 A at 110 V — these are the DC-1 or DC-13 ratings that govern inductive load break. For AC-3 motor duty, the contactor is rated for up to 1 000 operating cycles per hour, and for AC-4 (inching/jogging) up to 300 cycles per hour.
Mounting and Wiring Flexibility
The contactor accepts solid and stranded conductors from 1 to 10 mm², with a dual-wire capability of 2x (0.5–1.5 mm²) or 2x (0.75–2.5 mm²) for auxiliary circuits. The screw-type coil terminals are clearly marked, and the auxiliary switch block is integrated. Mounting position allows ±180° rotation on a vertical surface and ±22.5° tilt forward/backward, giving panel builders flexibility in tight enclosures. Clearance distances: 10 mm upwards and forwards, 10 mm downwards, and 6 mm at the sides — these are the minimum air gaps to maintain rated isolation. The operating temperature range is -25 to +60 °C, with storage from -55 to +80 °C.
