Mounts on a standard 35 mm DIN rail per EN 60715, with a footprint 45 mm wide, 97 mm deep, and 85 mm tall.
How it compares to 3RT2024-2BB40
Both are S0-frame contactors with the same DIN-rail clip and identical width/height/depth, so the physical swap is clean – no panel rework. The difference is the coil circuit: 3RT2024-1AC20 is a 24 VDC coil; the 2BB40 variant uses a different coil voltage (often 24 VAC or higher DC). Before dropping this into a panel wired for the 2BB40, verify the control voltage matches – the power wiring and aux contacts can stay as-is.
Clearance: maintain 10 mm above, below, and forward; 6 mm at the sides for arc enclosure and wire bending. Solid or stranded wire: 1…10 mm² for main contacts; auxiliary contacts accept 0.5…1.5 mm² solid/stranded, or two conductors 0.75…2.5 mm² per terminal.
