Integrator Note
The Siemens SIRIUS 3RT2024-1AU20 is a size S0 power contactor with a 24 VDC magnet coil terminated via screw-type terminals. It switches loads up to 10 A at 24 VDC and 2 hp at 230 V, making it suited for smaller motor and resistive loads in control panels. The contactor snaps onto a 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715 or screws directly to a panel, occupying 45 mm of width.
Switching Capacity & Duty
Rated switching capacity varies by voltage: 10 A at 24 VDC, 2 A at 48/60 VDC, 1 A at 110 VDC, and 0.3 A at 220 VDC. For motor loads, it carries a 2 hp rating at 230 V. Maximum mechanical switching frequency is 1 000 operations per hour under AC-1, AC-2, and AC-3 duty; this drops to 300 per hour under AC-4 (frequent inching/plugging). The contactor includes an auxiliary switch for status feedback or interlocking.
Integration & Mounting
Mounts via screw or snap-on to a 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715. The mounting position allows +/-180° rotation on a vertical surface and +/-22.5° tilt forward/backward. Clearance distances: 10 mm upwards, downwards, and forwards; 6 mm at the sides. Wire range: solid or stranded 1 to 10 mm² for main contacts, with dual-wire capability (2x 0.5 to 1.5 mm² or 2x 0.75 to 2.5 mm²). Main contact screws are M4 (size 8). Mechanical service life is 10 000 000 operations typical. Coil holding power is 0.25 VA at 50 Hz, 0.28 VA at 60 Hz. Operating temperature range: -25 to +60 °C; storage: -55 to +80 °C.
