Integrator's note — SIRIUS S0 power contactor
It handles AC-3 and AC-3e motor switching at up to 1 000 cycles per hour, and AC-4 inching/jogging at 300 cycles per hour.
The S0 footprint is 45 mm wide, 102 mm tall, 97 mm deep — standard for this frame class. Clearance requirements: 10 mm upward, downward, and forward; 6 mm at the sides.
Wiring and terminal capacity
No screwdriver torque required — push-in termination speeds up panel wiring.
The built-in auxiliary switch is rated for 10 A at 24 V, 3 A at 400 V, and 11 A at 480 V. For DC switching: 2 A at 48/60 V, 1 A at 110 V, 0.9 A at 125 V, 0.3 A at 220 V, 0.6 A at 440 V. At 230 V AC the contact is rated 2 hp.
Switching frequency and timing
Maximum switching rate: 1 000 cycles/h for AC-1 (resistive), AC-2 (slip-ring motor), AC-3 (squirrel-cage motor starting), and AC-3e (enhanced AC-3). For AC-4 (inching/plugging) the limit drops to 300 cycles/h. Arcing time is 10 to 10 ms at 50 Hz; the make/break duration is 4 to 16 ms — consistent with a contactor sized for general motor duty.
