Part identity and deployment context
The Siemens SIRIUS 3RT2024-2BB40-ZX95 is a size S0 power contactor with a 24 VDC magnet coil terminated via spring-type terminals. It mounts on a 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715, with screw and snap-on fastening, and can be rotated ±180° on a vertical surface or tilted ±22.5° forward/backward. The operating temperature range is -25 to +60 °C.
Switching ratings and duty class
Rated for AC-1, AC-2, AC-3, and AC-3e duty at 1000 operating cycles per hour maximum, and AC-4 at 300 cycles/h. The main contacts are rated for 18 A (AC-3) at 400 V. DC switching capability is specified per voltage: 10 A at 24 V, 2 A at 48 V and 60 V, 1 A at 110 V, 0.9 A at 125 V, 0.3 A at 220 V, and 3 A at 400 V. The arcing time is 10–10 ms, and the DC operating time is 15–18 ms.
Termination and wiring
Spring-type terminals accept solid or stranded conductors from 1 to 10 mm², and 2 × (0.5 to 2.5 mm²) for auxiliary wiring. The auxiliary switch is included. Minimum clearances for mounting: 10 mm upwards, 10 mm downwards, 10 mm forwards, and 6 mm at the side. Overall dimensions: 45 mm wide, 102 mm high, 107 mm deep.
