Current lifecycle — active production
The 3RT2025-1AG20: This is a SIRIUS-branded power contactor, size S0, designed for screw and snap-on mounting onto 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715 — the standard panel footprint for European control cabinets.
Panel fit and wiring constraints
The contactor measures 45 mm wide by 85 mm high by 97 mm deep — the 45 mm width is the S0 frame standard, occupying one 45 mm DIN-rail module. The 97 mm depth includes the coil terminals and arc chamber; verify clearance behind the panel door for the arcing space (10 mm forwards, 10 mm upwards, 10 mm downwards, 6 mm at the side). Main contact wiring accepts solid or stranded conductors from 1 to 10 mm². Auxiliary contact wiring accepts 2x (0.5 to 1.5 mm²) or 2x (0.75 to 2.5 mm²) — the dual-wire entry is useful for daisy-chaining control signals without a separate terminal block.
Switching duty and thermal limits
Rated for 1,000 operating cycles per hour in AC-1, AC-2, AC-3, and AC-3e duty, dropping to 300 cycles per hour in AC-4 (plugging/inching) — the AC-4 limit reflects the higher thermal stress of reversing or jogging loads. The arcing time is 10 to 10 ms, consistent with a contactor designed for fast arc extinction in a compact frame. Ambient operating range is -25 to +60 °C during operation, with storage from -55 to +80 °C. The 60 °C ceiling is standard for panel-mounted contactors; above 55 °C the continuous current rating may need derating per IEC 60947-4-1.
Auxiliary contact ratings across voltages
The built-in auxiliary switch is rated 10 A at 24 V, 2 A at 48 V and 60 V, 1 A at 110 V, 0.9 A at 125 V, 0.3 A at 220 V, and 0.6 A at 440 V — these are the make/break capacities for the control circuit, not the main contact rating. At 230 V the contactor is rated 3 hp for motor starting.
