SIRIUS S0 coupling contactor with 24 V DC coil
The 3RT2026-1KB40 is a SIRIUS S0 frame coupling contactor from Siemens — a 45 mm wide, 85 mm high, 107 mm deep unit designed for screw and snap-on mounting onto 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715. Its coil is rated 24 V DC, and at that voltage the DC-13 switching capacity is 10 A — enough for moderate DC loads like solenoid valves or DC brake coils in a control panel. The contactor ships without an auxiliary switch block (auxiliary switch: no), so if you need feedback or interlocking, plan to add a separate side-mount auxiliary contactor or a SIRIUS aux switch block.
Switching frequency and duty-cycle limits
Maximum switching rates are duty-dependent: 1 000 operations per hour in AC-1 (resistive), 750/h in AC-2 and AC-3 (motor loads), and 250/h in AC-4 (plugging/inching). The AC-3e rating also caps at 750 operations per hour — consistent with the standard AC-3 figure. Arcing time is 10 ms typical, and the DC-13 make/break times are 19 to 21 ms at rated voltage.
Mounting and clearance requirements
Mounting position is flexible: the contactor can be rotated ±180° on a vertical surface and tilted forward or backward by ±22.5°. Minimum clearances to adjacent components: 10 mm upwards, 10 mm forwards, 10 mm downwards, and 6 mm at the side — critical for heat dissipation and arc flash containment in a crowded panel.
Wire termination and conductor sizes
Main contact terminals accept solid or stranded conductors from 1 to 10 mm², and the auxiliary terminal block accepts 2x (0.5 to 1.5 mm²) or 2x (0.75 to 2.5 mm²) solid or stranded wire. The magnet coil uses screw-type terminals — standard for panel wiring with ferruled or bare stranded wire.
