SIRIUS S0 power contactor with spring terminals
The Siemens 3RT2026-2AP60 is a SIRIUS S0-size power contactor fitted with spring-type terminals on the magnet coil, eliminating the need for screwdriver torque checks during panel build. Rated for AC-3 motor switching at up to 750 cycles per hour, it handles the repetitive start-stop profile typical of conveyor or pump control without derating the contact block. The 45 mm wide body snaps onto a 35 mm DIN rail per EN 60715 and accepts solid or stranded conductors from 1 to 10 mm² on the main contacts, with the auxiliary switch wired through a separate 2x (0.5 to 2.5 mm²) spring clamp.
Duty-cycle and switching frequency
The contactor's mechanical endurance is rated at 10 million typical cycles, but the electrical switching frequency depends on the load category. At AC-1 (resistive loads) it can switch up to 1,000 operations per hour; at AC-3 (squirrel-cage motors) the limit drops to 750 per hour. For the harsher AC-4 duty — plugging or inching of motors — the rate falls to 250 per hour. The auxiliary contact block carries 10 A at 24 V, tapering to 0.6 A at 440 V, so confirm the pilot circuit voltage against the switching curve for your specific signal load.
Panel integration and mounting
Mounts via the combined screw-and-snap-on method onto a 35 mm standard rail per DIN EN 60715. The S0 footprint allows a +/-180° rotation on a vertical surface and a +/-22.5° tilt forward or backward, which helps when routing cables in a crowded enclosure. Clearance requirements: 10 mm above and below, 6 mm at the sides. The spring terminals on the coil accept ferruled stranded wire without retightening — a time-saver during commissioning. Ambient operating range is -25 to +60 °C; storage range extends from -55 to +80 °C.
