Siemens 3RT2026-2DM40 — SIRIUS Power Contactor, S0 Frame
The contactor sits at 107 mm deep, 45 mm wide, 102 mm tall — standard S0 footprint that drops into existing panels without re-drilling.
Switching Duty & What the Ratings Mean
Switching frequency tells you the mechanical pace this contactor can sustain in a given duty class. At AC-3 (squirrel-cage motor starting) it's rated 750 operations per hour maximum; at AC-4 (inching/plugging) that drops to 250 1/h because the arc energy per cycle is higher. AC-1 resistive loads let it run at 1 000 1/h. For DC switching, the contactor carries 10 A at 24 V rated value, 2 A at 48 V and 60 V, 1 A at 110 V, 0.9 A at 125 V, 0.3 A at 220 V, and 3 A at 400 V — these are the current limits per pole for DC-1/DC-3 style loads. The 3 hp rating at 230 V lines up with a typical small motor application.
The spring-type terminals accept solid or stranded wire from 1 to 10 mm², or two conductors of 0.5 to 2.5 mm² each.
