The Siemens 3RT2026-2KG40 is a SIRIUS coupling contactor in the compact S0 frame, designed for switching loads up to 10 A at 24 VDC. It's a spring-type terminal unit — no screwdriver needed for the power wiring, which speeds up panel assembly and field swaps. The coil pulls in at 24 VDC nominal, and the contactor is rated for 10 A at 24 V, 2 A at 48 V, 0.9 A at 125 V, and 0.3 A at 220 V DC, so it covers a range of DC control and small-load switching duties.
Mounting and clearances
Mounts via screw or snap-on onto 35 mm DIN rail per EN 60715. The mounting position is flexible — ±180° rotation on a vertical surface, plus ±22.5° tilt forward/backward — so it fits into tight or awkward panel spaces. Minimum clearances: 10 mm upwards, 10 mm forwards, 10 mm downwards, and 6 mm at the sides. The S0 footprint (45 mm wide, 102 mm high, 107 mm deep) is a standard Siemens size that matches a wide range of overload relays and accessories.
Switching performance and conductor range
Mechanical life is rated at 10 million operations typical. Maximum operating rates: 1,000 cycles/hour at AC-1, 750 at AC-2 and AC-3, 250 at AC-4. Arcing time is 10 ms. The main contact spring-type terminals accept solid or stranded conductors from 1 to 10 mm², or 2x (0.5 to 2.5 mm²) for parallel wiring. Ambient operating range is -25 to +60 °C; storage from -55 to +80 °C.
