Rated motor switching and what it means for your panel
The 3RT2026-2XF40-1LA2 is a three-pole traction contactor rated AC-3e/AC-3 at 25 A, switching 11 kW motor loads on a 400 V line. AC-3e is the enhanced version of the standard AC-3 duty class per IEC 60947-4-1, covering starting and disconnecting squirrel-cage motors during running — the 25 A figure is the continuous current the main poles carry, not the inrush. For a 400 V three-phase motor, 11 kW is the maximum rated output this contactor handles; match it to a motor nameplate at or below that power and the contactor stays within its electrical endurance curve.
Solid-state operating mechanism and coil drive
The coil is 110 V DC with a pickup range of 0.7 to 1.25 times Uc. The solid-state operating mechanism and integrated varistor eliminate the need for an external snubber.
Auxiliary contacts and termination
Built-in auxiliary contacts: 1 normally open and 1 normally closed. These are rated for the control circuit and share the same terminal block as the main poles. The spring-loaded terminals accept solid or ferruled stranded copper conductors — strip length and wire gauge follow the standard S0 frame pattern. No screw torque to check; spring-cage termination is vibration-resistant and consistent across the panel.
