What it is and what it does
The Siemens 3RT2027-1AP00-ZX95 is a SIRIUS power contactor in the Size S0 frame, designed for switching motor loads and resistive circuits in industrial control panels. It carries a 27 A rating at 480 V AC-3 duty — that's the motor-switching current, so it handles a 3-phase induction motor up to roughly 15 kW at 480 V without derating. The screw-type coil terminals and integrated auxiliary switch (1 NO + 1 NC typical for this frame) simplify wiring in a standard panel layout.
Mounting and environment
Mounts via screw or snap-on onto a 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715. The mounting position is forgiving — can be rotated ±180° on a vertical surface, and tilted forward/backward ±22.5° on a vertical surface, which helps when fitting into crowded enclosures. Operating temperature range is -25 to +60 °C, so it survives a hot panel near a kiln or furnace line without forced cooling. The S0 footprint (45 mm wide, 85 mm high, 97 mm deep) is a common size across the SIRIUS contactor family, making panel cutouts and busbar layouts predictable.
