SIRIUS S0 power contactor — 200-280 VAC coil, spring terminals
The Siemens 3RT2027-2NP30 is a SIRIUS power contactor in the S0 frame size, designed for switching motor loads and resistive loads in industrial control panels. It mounts via screw or snap-on onto 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715, fitting a 45 mm wide slot — standard for S0 contactors in a crowded enclosure. The coil is rated 200-280 VAC, with spring-type terminals that accept solid or stranded wire from 1 to 10 mm² on the main circuit. Inrush current peaks at 25 A. Operating time is 30-50 ms for both AC and DC coil supplies; arcing time is a consistent 10 ms. Mechanical life is rated at 10 million operations typical. Electrical switching frequency depends on duty: up to 1000 cycles/hour at AC-1 (resistive), 750 cycles/hour at AC-2 and AC-3 (motor starting/running), and 250 cycles/hour at AC-4 (plugging/inching) (-,). The auxiliary switch is included, with contact ratings of 10 A at 24 V, 2 A at 48 V and 60 V, and 1 A at 110 V (-,).
Panel integration and mounting flexibility
Dimensions are 102 mm high, 45 mm wide, 107 mm deep. The S0 footprint is common across the SIRIUS contactor range, so a panel laid out for a smaller S0 contactor (like 3RT2015) accepts this unit without re-drilling — same 45 mm width, same DIN rail clip. Mounting position allows +/-180° rotation on a vertical surface, plus +/-22.5° tilt forward/backward. Clearance distances: 10 mm upwards, 10 mm forwards, 10 mm downwards, 6 mm at the side. Operating temperature range is -25 to +60 °C; storage range is -55 to +80 °C. The spring-type coil terminals and main terminals accepting 1-10 mm² solid or stranded wire simplify wiring — no screw torque to verify.
