SIRIUS S0 contactor for panel integration
The Siemens SIRIUS 3RT2027-2XJ40-0LA2 is a size S0 contactor designed for screw and snap-on mounting onto 35 mm standard mounting rail per DIN EN 60715. With a width of 45 mm, it fits standard DIN-rail panel layouts and leaves room for adjacent devices in the same row. The coil termination uses spring-type terminals, which speeds wiring compared to screw clamps. Main contact connections accept solid conductors from 1 to 10 mm² (2x) and stranded from 0.5 to 2.5 mm² (2x). Rated operating temperature range is -40 to +70 °C during operation, with storage from -55 to +80 °C. That covers most indoor panel environments and unheated warehouses.
Mounting clearances and position
Minimum clearances to adjacent devices: 10 mm upwards, 10 mm forwards, 10 mm downwards, and 6 mm at the side. These spacings ensure adequate cooling and arc clearance for the S0 frame. Mounting position allows +/-180° rotation on a vertical surface and can be tilted forward/backward by +/- 22.5° on a vertical mounting surface. This flexibility helps when orienting the contactor in tight enclosures.
Switching performance and coil data
The contactor is rated for DC coil voltage with a rated value of 72 V DC. The arcing time is 10 to 10 ms, and the DC switching time is 30 to 50 ms. Maximum switching frequency: 750 operations per hour for AC-1, AC-2, AC-3, and AC-3e duty; 250 operations per hour for AC-4. This suits moderate-speed cycling applications like conveyor controls or pump starters.
Auxiliary contacts and DC switching ratings
The contactor includes an auxiliary switch. DC switching ratings for the auxiliary contacts at 24 V: 10 A; at 48 V: 2 A; at 60 V: 2 A; at 110 V: 1 A; at 125 V: 0.9 A; at 220 V: 0.3 A; at 400 V: 3 A. These values govern the DC load the auxiliary contacts can break.
