What this contactor is and where it fits
The Siemens 3RT2028-1AP00-1AA0 is a SIRIUS power contactor in the S0 frame size, rated 34 A at 480 V — that's the AC-3 motor-switching current, so it handles a 3-phase motor load up to that current without derating. It carries an auxiliary switch built in, which saves a separate add-on block for status feedback or interlocking. Screw-type terminals on the coil and main contacts; the coil termination is screw-type as well.
Mounting and panel fit
Snap-on mounting onto 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715, plus screw-fastening option for vibration-heavy environments. The S0 footprint is 45 mm wide, 85 mm tall, 97 mm deep — that's a standard slot on a DIN rail, no overhang. Clearance: 10 mm upwards, 10 mm forwards, 10 mm downwards, 6 mm at the sides. Mounting position is standing on a horizontal surface; that's the typical panel orientation.
Wiring and terminal capacity
