Siemens SIRIUS 3RT2028-1BE80 — S0 Power Contactor, 80 VDC Coil
The Siemens SIRIUS 3RT2028-1BE80 is a size S0 power contactor with an 80 VDC-rated magnet coil terminated via screw-type terminals. It mounts via screw or snap-on onto 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715.
Switching Capacity and Duty Ratings
At 24 VDC the contactor switches 10 A; at 48 V and 60 VDC it switches 2 A; at 110 VDC it switches 1 A; at 125 VDC it switches 0.9 A; at 220 VDC it switches 0.3 A; at 400 VDC it switches 3 A. These DC ratings are the load-break limits — for motor loads the AC-3 maximum operating frequency is 750 switching cycles per hour, while AC-4 duty (plugging/inching) is limited to 250 cycles per hour. The mechanical service life is rated at 10 million operations typical.
Coil and Timing
The coil is rated at 80 VDC with an initial pull-in value of 0.8 times rated and a full-scale dropout of 1.1 times rated. DC closing time is 15–18 ms; arcing time is 10 ms.
Mounting and Clearance
The contactor measures 85 mm high × 45 mm wide × 107 mm deep. It can be rotated ±180° on a vertical mounting surface and tilted forward/backward ±22.5°. Minimum clearances to adjacent parts: 10 mm upwards, 10 mm forwards, 10 mm downwards, 6 mm at the side. Main contact screw size is M4 (16–8 Nm torque range). Conductor cross-section for power circuits: 1–10 mm² solid or stranded.
