SIRIUS Size S0 power contactor — panel integration note
The Siemens SIRIUS 3RT2028-1CK64-3MA0 is a Size S0 power contactor, 45 mm wide, 85 mm tall, 141 mm deep, designed for screw and snap-on mounting onto 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715. The screw-type coil terminals accept solid or stranded wire from 1 to 10 mm², and the main contact connections handle 2x (0.5 to 1.5 mm²) or 2x (0.75 to 2.5 mm²). Mounting position is flexible — the contactor can be rotated ±180° on a vertical surface and tilted forward/backward ±22.5°, which helps when fitting into tight gland-plate layouts. Clearance distances: 10 mm upwards, 10 mm forwards, 10 mm downwards, 6 mm at the side.
Duty ratings and switching frequency
Maximum switching rates: AC-1 duty (resistive loads) at 1000 operations per hour, AC-2 and AC-3 (motor starting, slip-ring motors) at 750 ops/h, AC-4 (plugging, inching) at 250 ops/h. The arcing time is 10 ms. Mechanical endurance is 10 million operations typical. Auxiliary contact ratings (at 24 V rated value: 6 A; at 48 V: 2 A; at 60 V: 2 A; at 110 V: 1 A; at 125 V: 0.9 A; at 220 V: 0.3 A; at 400 V: 3 A; at 440 V: 0.6 A). No auxiliary switch is built in — if needed, add a separate auxiliary contact block that mounts on the contactor.
