It mounts on a 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715 using either screws or the integrated snap-on clip — no special bracket needed, and it fits a standard 45 mm wide slot in the enclosure. The headline AC-3 motor-switching rating is 34 A at 480 V, which covers most 15–20 hp three-phase induction motors in North American 480 V distribution. Operating temperature spans -25 to +60 °C, and storage range is -55 to +80 °C — this contactor lives in the panel, not on the shelf, so the storage spec matters for spares kept in an unheated warehouse.
Mounting & clearances
The contactor measures 85 mm high, 45 mm wide, and 97 mm deep. Minimum clearances around the body: 10 mm upwards, 10 mm forwards, 10 mm downwards, and 6 mm at the sides. The mounting position allows +/-180° rotation on a vertical surface and can be tilted forward/backward by +/-22.5° — useful when you're squeezing it into a tight corner of an existing panel. The magnet coil connection uses a ring cable lug — no spade terminals, so plan your wire termination accordingly. The auxiliary switch is already fitted, saving a separate add-on module slot.
Switching performance & duty cycles
Maximum mechanical operating frequency: 1,000 cycles/hour at AC-1 (resistive load), 750 cycles/hour at AC-2 and AC-3 (motor starting and running), and 250 cycles/hour at AC-4 (plugging/reversing). Arcing time is 10 ms.
