What it is and what it does
The 3RT2035-1CL24-3MA0: The coil terminals are screw-type, and the main contacts are rated for 18 to 1 operations (mechanical life of 10,000,000 cycles typical). It mounts via screw or snap-on onto a 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715, and the mounting position allows +/-180° rotation on a vertical surface plus +/-22.5° forward/backward tilt.
Switching rates and thermal limits
Maximum switching rates vary by duty: 1,200 operations per hour for AC-1 resistive loads, 1,000/h for AC-3 motor starting, 750/h for AC-2 slip-ring motors, and 300/h for AC-4 plugging/reversing. The arcing time spans 10 to 20 ms, with the coil dropout arcing at 10 to 18 ms. Operating ambient temperature range is -25 to +60 °C; storage range is -55 to +80 °C.
Panel fit and wiring
Dimensions are 114 mm high, 55 mm wide, and 174 mm deep. Clearance requirements: 10 mm upwards, 10 mm forwards, 10 mm downwards, and 6 mm at the sides. Wire sizes accepted are 2x (0.5 to 1.5 mm²) solid or stranded, or 2x (0.75 to 2.5 mm²). No built-in auxiliary switch — if you need aux contacts, they're added separately.
