What it is and where it fits
The Siemens 3RT2035-1NF34 is a SIRIUS power contactor in the Size S2 frame, designed for switching motor loads and resistive circuits in industrial control panels. It mounts on 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715, using either screw-clamp or snap-on fastening, and accepts screw-type coil terminals. The coil is rated for 83 to 155 V AC/DC, with a pickup threshold of 0.8x rated value and a dropout around 0.55x. Inrush peaks at 1.5 A; steady-state draw is 2 VA at 50 or 60 Hz. Operating temperature spans -25 to +60 °C, with storage from -55 to +80 °C. Mounting position allows ±180° rotation on a vertical surface and ±22.5° tilt forward/backward, giving flexibility in tight enclosures.
Switching performance and contact ratings
The main contacts are rated for 18 A continuous (AC-1) and 1 A at 110 V DC. Switching frequency varies by duty: up to 1,200 ops/hr in AC-1, 1,000 in AC-3, 750 in AC-2, and 300 in AC-4. Arcing time is 10–20 ms; operate time is 30–55 ms for both AC and DC coils. Auxiliary contact ratings are provided for DC loads: 6 A at 24 V, 2 A at 48 V and 60 V, 1 A at 110 V, 0.9 A at 125 V, and 0.3 A at 220 V. No auxiliary switch block is included as standard.
Panel integration notes
Dimensions are 55 mm wide, 114 mm high, and 174 mm deep. Clearance requirements: 10 mm upward, 10 mm downward, 10 mm forward, and 6 mm at the sides. Wire capacity for main contacts is 2x (0.5–1.5 mm²) or 2x (0.75–2.5 mm²) solid or stranded.
