The contactor's mechanical life is typical 10,000,000 operations — that's years of cycling in a production line before the contacts wear.
That 6 mm side gap is the one that catches people out; leave it or the arc chute doesn't vent properly. Dimensions: 114 mm high, 55 mm wide, 174 mm deep.
Arcing time runs 10 to 20 ms; the make time (at AC) is 10 to 18 ms. Those numbers matter for coordination with upstream breakers — the arc clears fast enough that a B-curve MCB won't nuisance trip on inrush. Switching frequency at AC-3 is 800 operations per hour maximum, at AC-4 it's 250 per hour. For heavy jogging or plugging duty, stay under the AC-4 limit or the contacts overheat.
