It switches motor loads up to 52 A at 480 V, making it a fit for 30–50 hp 480 V three-phase motors in conveyor, pump, and fan duty.
Switching duty and mechanical life
Rated for 1 000 cycles/hour at AC-1 (resistive), 800 at AC-3 and AC-3e (standard motor start/run), and 250 at AC-4 (plugging/inching). If your application hits AC-4 regularly, derate the switching frequency accordingly — the 250 c/h ceiling is the mechanical limit for that duty, not a suggestion.
Panel integration and clearances
Dimensions: 55 mm wide, 114 mm tall, 130 mm deep. That 6 mm side clearance is tight — if you're grouping several S2 contactors side by side, account for the cumulative gap when laying out the DIN rail. Auxiliary switch block is fitted (18–1 configuration, meaning one N/O + one N/C built in). Wire terminations accept 2x 0.5–1.5 mm² or 2x 0.75–2.5 mm² solid/stranded, screw terminals on the coil side.
