What this contactor is and what it does
The Siemens SIRIUS 3RT2036-3XJ84-0LA2 is a Size S2 contactor with an extended operating range, designed for switching motor loads and resistive loads in industrial control panels. It carries a main contact rating of 52 A at 480 V and 52 A at 600 V, so it handles typical 480 VAC three-phase motor circuits up to that current without derating for the coil's wider voltage tolerance. The extended operating range means the coil holds in across a broader voltage band than a standard contactor, useful on lines with saggy supply or long cable runs.
Mounting and integration
Mounts via screw or snap-on onto 35 mm standard mounting rail per DIN EN 60715. The mounting position is flexible: +/-180° rotation on a vertical surface, and can be tilted forward/backward by +/-22.5° on a vertical surface. Dimensions are 114 mm high, 55 mm wide, 178 mm deep — fits a standard panel footprint with clearance for the arcing zone (10 mm upwards, forwards, downwards; 6 mm at the side).
