What It Is and What It Does
The Siemens SIRIUS 3RT2037-1AB00 is a Size S2 power contactor designed for switching motor loads and resistive loads in industrial control panels. It carries a 65 A rated operational current at 480 V, making it suitable for medium-horsepower motors and high-current heating elements. The coil is rated for 24 V at 50 Hz, drawing 10 A inrush at 24 V rated value. The magnet coil uses screw-type terminals, and the main contacts accept solid or stranded wire: 2x (0.5... 1.5 mm²) or 2x (0.75... 2.5 mm²). It includes an auxiliary switch (1 N/O + 1 N/C, 18... 1 configuration for main contacts) and supports switching frequencies up to 800 operations per hour in AC-1 duty, 700/h in AC-3, and 200/h in AC-4.
Mounting and Integration
Mounts via screw or snap-on onto 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715. The mounting position is flexible: +/-180° rotation on a vertical surface, and can be tilted forward/backward by +/- 22.5°. Minimum clearances: 10 mm upwards, forwards, and downwards; 6 mm at the side. Dimensions: 114 mm height, 55 mm width, 130 mm depth. The 55 mm width fits standard 4-module DIN-rail spacing.
