Contactor sizing and duty
The Siemens SIRIUS 3RT2037-1AD04 is a Size S2 power contactor rated 65 A at 480 V in AC-3 duty — that's the motor-switching current for a typical 3-phase induction motor up to roughly 30 kW depending on voltage. At AC-1 (resistive loads) the maximum operating rate is 800 cycles per hour, while AC-3 (cage motor starting) allows 700 cycles per hour. The contactor carries a mechanical life of 10 million operations typical.
Mounting and integration
Mounts via screw fixing or snaps onto 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715. The mounting position is flexible: ±180° rotation on a vertical surface, plus ±22.5° tilt forward/backward. Clearance requirements: 10 mm upward, 10 mm forward, 10 mm downward, 6 mm at the sides — tight enough for dense panel layouts. Dimensions are 174 mm deep, 114 mm high, 55 mm wide.
Coil and auxiliary contacts
The magnet coil termination uses screw-type terminals. Rated switching capacity at 24 V is 6 A; at 48 V and 60 V it drops to 2 A; at 110 V it is 1 A; at 125 V it is 0.9 A; at 220 V it is 0.3 A; at 400 V it is 3 A; at 440 V it is 0.6 A; at 500 V it is 2 A. The contactor ships without an auxiliary switch block — that is a separate order for adding status feedback.
