SIRIUS S2 frame power contactor — 65 A at 480 V
The 65 A rating at 480 V is the AC-3 duty current — the figure that governs motor switching capability — so this contactor handles a 3-phase induction motor drawing up to that line current without derating.
DIN rail fit and panel space
At 55 mm wide, 114 mm tall, and 130 mm deep, the S2 frame occupies a single 55 mm slot on the DIN rail.
Switching performance and mechanical life
Rated for 10 million mechanical operations typical. Maximum operating frequencies: 800 cycles/hour at AC-1 (resistive), 700 at AC-3 (motor), 400 at AC-2, and 200 at AC-4 (plugging/inching). Arcing time runs 10–20 ms; closing time 10–18 ms. The auxiliary switch is included, with 1 N/O + 1 N/C main contact configuration.
Coil and auxiliary contact ratings
Coil draws 0.36 A at 50 Hz and 0.39 A at 60 Hz at 220 V. The auxiliary contacts carry 10 A at 24 V, 2 A at 48/60 V, 1 A at 110 V, 0.9 A at 125 V, 0.3 A at 220 V, 3 A at 400 V, and 0.6 A at 440 V — these ratings define the signal-level switching capability for PLC inputs or relay coils. The contactor also carries a 10 hp rating at 230 V.
