24 V DC Coil and PLC Output Drive
The 3RT2037-1KB40 is a SIRIUS S2 coupling contactor with a 24 V DC coil rated at 10 A at the rated value of 24 V. The inrush current peak is 2.6 A, so the PLC output or DC supply driving the coil must be sized for that surge, not just the holding current. The coil connection uses screw-type terminals, which simplifies field wiring without special tools.

Switching Duty and Mechanical Life
Rated for AC-3 duty at 700 switching cycles per hour maximum, and the same 700 1/h under AC-3e. AC-4 duty is limited to 200 1/h, reflecting the heavier switching of inrush loads. The typical mechanical life of the contactor is 10,000,000 operations. Arcing time is 10 to 20 ms, and the DC operating time is 30 to 55 ms.
Environmental Ratings and Auxiliary Contacts
The main contacts are rated for 18 to 1 A range, and the unit accepts solid or stranded wire: 2x (0.5 to 1.5 mm²) or 2x (0.75 to 2.5 mm²) per terminal.
