SIRIUS S2 Power Contactor, 175-280 VAC Coil
The Siemens 3RT2037-1NP34 is a SIRIUS S2 power contactor with a 175-280 VAC coil, screw-type terminals, and no built-in auxiliary switch. It is rated for AC-3 motor switching at up to 700 operations per hour and AC-1 resistive loads at 800 ops/h. The contactor mounts via screw or snap-on onto 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715, with a 55 mm width and 174 mm depth that fit standard panel layouts. Mechanical life is rated at 10 million operations typical.
Panel Fit and Clearance
At 55 mm wide and 174 mm deep, this S2 contactor fits a standard DIN-rail footprint. Minimum clearances: 10 mm upwards, downwards, and forwards; 6 mm at the side. The mounting position allows ±180° rotation on a vertical surface and ±22.5° tilt forward/backward, giving flexibility in tight enclosures. Wire capacity is 2x (0.5 to 1.5 mm²) or 2x (0.75 to 2.5 mm²) solid or stranded per terminal.
Switching Performance and Coil Data
The coil draws 2 VA holding power at both 50 Hz and 60 Hz, with an inrush peak of 5 A. Operating time is 30 to 55 ms for both AC and DC; arcing time is 10 to 20 ms. Pick-up threshold is 0.8 of rated voltage; drop-out is 1.1 of rated value. For DC switching of auxiliary circuits, the contactor is rated at 6 A at 24 V, 2 A at 48 V or 60 V, 1 A at 110 V, 0.9 A at 125 V, and 0.3 A at 220 V.
