The Siemens 3RT2037-3AG16 is a SIRIUS power contactor in Size S2, rated for switching motor loads up to 65 A at 480 V — that's the AC-3 current that governs real induction-motor duty, not the higher resistive rating. Spring-type terminals on the magnet coil and main contacts (, 18...1 configuration) accept 2x 0.5 to 2.5 mm² solid or stranded. No auxiliary switch is built in, so plan a separate auxiliary contact block if feedback to the PLC is needed. Mechanical life is 10 million operations typical; electrical life varies by load — 700 cycles per hour under AC-3, 200/h under AC-4 reversing duty.
DIN-rail fit and panel clearance
Mounts via screw and snap-on onto 35 mm standard rail per DIN EN 60715. Dimensions: 114 mm high, 75 mm wide, 130 mm deep. Clearance requirements: 10 mm upwards, 10 mm forwards, 10 mm downwards, 6 mm to the side. The mounting position allows ±180° rotation on a vertical surface plus ±22.5° tilt forward/backward — useful for tight gland-plate layouts. Operating temperature range is -25 to +60 °C; storage from -55 to +80 °C.
