SIRIUS S2 power contactor for motor and resistive loads
The Siemens SIRIUS 3RT2038-1NF30 is a size S2 power contactor rated for switching motor and resistive loads in industrial control panels. It mounts via screw and snap-on onto 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715, with a ±180° rotation possible on vertical surfaces and ±22.5° tilt forward/backward, giving flexibility in tight enclosures. The coil is rated 83-155 V AC/DC with screw-type terminals, drawing 2 VA at 50 Hz and 60 Hz. Inrush current peaks at 1.5 A. The contactor handles AC-1 resistive loads at up to 700 switching cycles per hour, AC-3 motor loads at 500 cycles/h, and AC-4 plugging/reversing at 150 cycles/h — so for a conveyor or pump duty (AC-3), it can cycle every 7 seconds continuously. Dimensions are 130 mm deep, 55 mm wide, 114 mm high. The auxiliary switch is integrated (screw terminals). Operating temperature range is -25 to +60 °C; storage from -55 to +80 °C. Clearance distances: 10 mm upward, downward, and forward; 6 mm at the side.
Mounting and integration
Fastening method: screw and snap-on mounting onto 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715. The contactor can be rotated ±180° on a vertical mounting surface and tilted forward/backward ±22.5° on a vertical surface. Main contact wiring accepts 2x (0.5-1.5 mm²) or 2x (0.75-2.5 mm²) solid or stranded. Coil terminals are screw-type.
