SIRIUS S3 contactor for motor switching
The 3RT2045-1AC24: It carries a 24 VDC coil with screw-type terminals, and the main contact block supports solid wire from 2.5 to 16 mm² and stranded wire from 6 to 70 mm². Rated for AC-3 switching at up to 1,000 operating cycles per hour, this contactor is suited for frequent start-stop duty on squirrel-cage motors.
Mounting and wiring flexibility
The 70 mm width and 195 mm depth fit standard S3 panel cutouts.
Auxiliary contact ratings and switching frequency
An auxiliary switch is integrated. These values define the signal-level switching capability for control circuits. The AC-3e rating matches the AC-3 maximum at 1,000 cycles/hour.
Temperature range and environmental limits
Power factor at rated current is 0.35 at 50 Hz and 0.41 at 60 Hz, which affects the apparent power drawn by the coil.
